Gnuplot grid with alternate line styles -

using gnuplot plot following graph -

now, can see in image, difficult between lines, identify block @ end. color grid alternately different color, or style.

the code right use color grid -

set style line 12 lc rgb '#808080' lt 0 lw 1 set grid ls 12 

however, not able find way grid , set alternately style. possible in gnuplot?

what mean that, possible have different line style major , minor tics in grid of gnuplot?
